Sport Leaders UK: Award In Dance Leadership
The course is designed for young people aged 12+ years
The Award in Dance Leadership is a course run by the Dance Officer in school holidays (times vary throughout the year).
The purpose of this award is to allow young people aged 12+ to access dance related training to enhance their core skills and employment prospects. The prime aim of the award is to assist in the preparation of motivated responsible people to independently lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable dance activities for groups.
The award consists of the candidates completing modules such as communication, organisation and other leadership skills whilst learning new and exciting dance moves. Candidates will be presented with accredited certificates from Sports Leaders UK, which confirms their attendance and completion of the award.
