Be transported to Cuba with Conjunto Malecon, live band from Edinburgh. Conjunto Malecon are a Scotland-based musical collective united by a shared passion for traditional Cuban music. The five-piece ensemble brings together musicians of diverse nationalities, blending their unique backgrounds into a singular, authentic interpretation of one of the most influential musical styles to emerge from the late 19th century. The ensemble brings together three generations of musicians from some of the most influential Afro-Caribbean bands in Northern UK, including Salsa Celtica, Orquesta Latina Turners, Orquesta Mambo Internacional, and Son al Son.

Doors open at 7.45pm, event starts at 8pm with a taster beginners salsa class and then we party until midnight with dancing and animations (line up), the band will play 2 sets, starting around 9pm. DJ Sarita will also be playing bachata, with a splash of salsa and kizomba. The venue has a large dance floor and a licensed bar with a card machine. There will be a pre drawn fund raising raffle for Azul Wasi in the break.

The night is celebrating 23 years of the Azul Wasi (formerly Blooming Colibri) homes in Peru and Latin Quarter fund raising classes and events. Come and spice up your life! and help raise money for Azul Wasi at the same time.

Dress code - Cuba (optional) - Red, white and blue or Club Tropicana attire or anything Cuba inspired, tropical! There will be a Cuban themed photo booth for anyone to use.
