The story follows two intertwining love stories: the mortal young lovers Orpheus and Eurydice, and the immortal couple King Hades and Persephone. Orpheus, a gifted young poet and musician, dreams of creating a song to bring warmth and light to a weary world, while Eurydice seeks stability and a better life. When Eurydice is drawn into Hadestown, an industrial underworld ruled by Hades, Orpheus embarks on a daring journey to bring her back, confronting the Fates, the Workers, and the power of doubt along the way.

The musical blends classic American folk music with New Orleans jazz, creating a haunting and emotionally resonant theatrical experience.
