Dundee Stitch and Textile Group Image
A colourful showcase of 'The Journey So Far' for Dundee Stitch and Textile Group, in their very first exhibition. Intricate handmade pieces depict beautiful flowers, whimsical woodland scenes and encourage viewers to get up close with the textures of the seaside. Our historic mill makes for the perfect backdrop to this must-see exhibition!

An amazing display of the craft and skill of the group, formed in 2021, who meet monthly in the Weavers Room here at Verdant Works Museum to create their textile works and cover a variety of subjects by way of talks, workshops and day schools led by members, invited tutors and speakers.

The Dundee Stitch and Textile Group is open to adults who enjoy working with fabric and stitch either as a beginner, an experienced maker or have a general interest in textiles, and the Group welcome anyone who is interested in joining to come along to a couple of their meetings. Meet in the Weavers Room, on the third Saturday of the month between September and May and charge £5 a visit with a maximum of 2 visits a session. Membership fees apply after that, concessions for u/25 & students.
