People attending this weekly class have a basic knowledge of the steps and formations used in Scottish Country Dancing, usually having been dancing for a year or two. It is a fun class, with an excellent teacher and a very friendly atmosphere. In Scottish Dancing we generally dance with different people throughout the evening, so you don't have to come with a partner. We wear comfortable clothing which does not restrict movement and usually wear Scottish Country Dancing shoes, although soft shoes or sneakers are fine to begin with. SCD is an excellent way to keep fit, it is sociable and fun. We dance to wonderful traditional music, jigs, reels and strathspeys and are fortunate to have live music every week.
