Guided Tour of Ancient Dundee Howff Cemetery
Howff Graveyard | 13/11

The Howff is an old Scots name for a meeting place - you will find out why on the tour! Since being gifted to the people of Dundee by Mary Queen of Scots, The Howff has been the burial place of both the rich and poor of the city. Three hundred years of tumultuous history is written on the stones. We pause at a couple of locations to consider Dundee's links to the Slavery Trade and Scottish Witch Trials. There is a lot to cover in 80 minutes!
The stories are often sad, sometimes funny, but always interesting.
Meeting point: Meadowside gate.
