From North-East Spain originally, Manuel has lived in Scotland since 2001. He picked up his first whistle at 15 having already learned to play the jew's harp. He also plays a variety of wind instruments, such as Duduk or Willow Pipe. Manuel plays mainly a mixture of Scottish, Spanish, Nordic and Irish music. A regular guest at the Kirriemuir Festival, he can also be found playing the odd tune (literally!) in local sessions across Angus
