Decorations in Shore Terrace for royal visit. Bunting on Dundee Perth & London Shipping building. Many shops in Dundee were selling bunting, flags etc. Advised to book early - free estimates on designs etc.

Also in the picture is the Crown Hotel & Tobacco and Cigar shop proprietor J Nicoll At the side a cart with 3 barrels (could be delivering beer to the Crown Hotel). Tindals Wynd between DP&L building and tenements with shops.


Alexander Wilson who took this photograph, was a supervisor in a Dundee jute mill for over 20 years. He bequeathed much of his collection and £50, to cover the costs involved, to the Free Library Committee of Dundee in 1923.
