Morgan Academy, Dundee - Ref: WC1478
Morgan Academy is situated on a triangular site between Pitkerro Road and Forfar Road. On the 21st March, 2001 a catastrophic fire swept through the building. The central tower has completely disappeared.
Hopes are high that the school frontage can be rebuilt with a modern school constructed behind it. Work is currently underway salvaging decorative brickwork from the site. (2001)
Alexander Wilson who took this photograph, was a supervisor in a Dundee jute mill for over 20 years. He bequeathed much of his collection and £50, to cover the costs involved, to the Free Library Committee of Dundee in 1923.
