Gymnastics & Trampoline: About Us

Gymnastics and Trampoline

Gymnastics classes run in the McTaggart Gymnastics Centre, Douglas Sports Centre and Menzieshill Community Hub. Classes cater for children of school age (P1-P7) no matter their ability. Boys and girls are all welcome in our fun and exciting programme. We also link to Clubs in Dundee to ensure a competition pathway exists for gymnasts with the right ability and drive to compete. Further information is available for Clubs across the city.

Trampoline classes run in McTaggart and Menzieshill Community Hub. Our classes now cater for all ages - from pre-school to adults and boys and girls are welcome at any of these sessions.

Information for Parents – GYMNASTICS AND TRAMPOLINE PROGRAMME

It is recommended to wear either a leotard or shorts / leggings and a t-shirt, that can be tucked in, with bare feet for gymnastics / socks for trampoline.

All jewellery (including stud earrings) must be removed and long hair must be tied back prior to the class.

A drink of water in a sealable drinks bottle can be brought to class (no other drinks or food are permitted in the gymnastics hall).

Please register at reception on each occasion class is attended.  A ticket will be issued by the leisure staff which must be handed to the coach at the beginning of the session.

If any of your contact details change (including email address / telephone number) throughout your child's time in the class, please update them at reception or by email.

Please inform Leisure and Culture Dundee, should your child no longer wish to participate in the class, as this will allow the place to be allocated to another child on the waiting list.

For information on days and times of classes click on 'Term Time Programme' and for any information on clubs click on 'Clubs'. Leisure and Culture Dundee's Gymnastics and Trampoline Programme is extremely popular and waiting lists are in operation. Keep an eye out here for dates of our holiday programmes too.

Please note that children within the pre-school programme will not automatically be placed in the school age programme but have been placed on the waiting list when they first joined the pre-school list.  Please also note that we do not currently offer secondary school age gymnastics but do offer a secondary age and adult trampoline programme.

To retain your child’s space in the class, payment for the next term must be made by a deadline provided towards the end of the current term.  Failure to pay in time will result in your child’s space being reallocated to a child on the waiting list without any further communication to you.
