An Evening with The Dundee Rockets.

They were once the biggest crowd-pullers in British ice hockey and became famous for their Houdini acts when BBC Grandstand and ITV’s World of Sport covered the game.

The team was made up of British players with an additional three import players who were on full time contracts.

Roy Halpin from Canada scored over 400 goals and 350 assists as Tom Stewart’s team won three Grand Slams from 1981-1984 and were the first British team to participate in the European Cup.

Now – to mark 40 years since that final Grand Slam victory – Roy is returning to Dundee alongside fellow imports Chris Brinster and Allard Le Blanc to celebrate their achievements.

They’ll be joined by some of the home-grown talent whose names remain etched into the city’s sporting folklore.

Join us at the Whitehall Theatre on the evening of June the 26th 2024 for this extremely rare opportunity to get up close with these heroes and hear the stories behind this unforgettable period of time.

They can’t wait to meet the fans who shared in these triumphs – both at the old Kingsway Rink and across the UK – from Whitley Bay to Wembley – when everyone used to share the same bus journey.

They will be joined by some special guests throughout the evening who are also ready to pay their own tribute to a team which put the city on the ice hockey map.

The guys are ready to tell all about life on and off the ice from their time in a city they still regard as a home from home after four decades away.
