
LEAD, a 12-week leadership, coaching and officiating course run by Dundee Active Schools has launched for S3-6 high school pupils across Dundee. This innovative programme, held every Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm at St Paul’s RC Academy, aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to lead sport and physical activity for younger pupils.
The programme has welcomed 24 enthusiastic high school pupils who successfully completed an application process in December 2024. Throughout the course, participants will engage in a comprehensive training programme designed to enhance their leadership abilities, communication skills and understanding of fun games, movement and fitness.

- Participants: 24 high school pupils from eight schools across Dundee
The course includes collaboration with Scottish Sport Futures, Netball Scotland and Tennis Scotland. These partnerships will provide sport specific coaching and conflict management training, ensuring a well-rounded development experience for the pupils.
