Leisure & Culture Dundee has announced that nominations for the 22/23 Dundee Sports Awards are now open.
The Gym Rental Company will sponsor the awards ceremony taking place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Apex Hotel. The awards will pay tribute to the success of the city’s top sports clubs, athletes and schools on the same evening. They will celebrate the work going on to provide sporting opportunities to more people in schools and communities across Dundee.
There are 12 Award Categories for 2022/23, each with its nomination criteria.

- Young Volunteer of the Year
- School Volunteer of the Year
- Club Volunteer of the Year
- Jenny Wood Allen Memorial Trophy
- Lifetime Commitment Award
- School of the Year
- Club of the Year
- Young Sports Person of the Year
- Sports Person of the Year
- Social Impact Award
- Changing Lives Award
The Social Impact and Changing Lives Awards are new for this year. The Social Impact award will be presented to an individual who has used the power of sport to impact lives positively. This individual will have significantly contributed to initiatives that use sport to achieve increased participation and broader social outcomes.
The Changing Lives award will be presented to a school, club or organisation that has intentionally used sport to change lives in the last year. This organisation will have shown they understand the needs of pupils and the community and responded appropriately by delivering activities and interventions to support the needs of individuals and positively impact their lives.
