Cyber Cycling

Cyber Cycling

A virtual-led immersive class delivered in our dedicated cycle studio at DISC. Immerse yourself as the leader of your session!

While cycling, you will explore footage from all over the world and allow world-class coaching to take you on a journey of epic places to a fully personalised workout within a group setting.

The colour-coded technology used throughout the class ensures you work to the correct level, eliminating guesswork!

Come with your friends and be in charge of your session*.

* If this is your first time joining Cyber Cycling, you need to attend our Teen Cycle Induction programme between 5:00 and 6:00 pm prior to your first cycling sessions. Do not worry; it will only be once. This comprehensive session will cover all of our bikes' features, how to set up the bike for optimal performance, and an optional Fitness test.

FAQs

+ Who is Cyber Cycling for?

Teens from 12-18 of all abilities. The bikes have adjustable resistance and the beauty of indoor cycling is that you can take part and ride at your own pace no matter your fitness level. There's limited space to move freely around, and there are no disability friendly bikes at this location, however, accessible stationary bikes are available at Douglas Sports Centre. For more info visit: www.accessable.co.uk/dundee-city-council/access-guides/dundee-international-sports-complex-disc.

+ What is the cycle studio at DISC like?

The cycle studio is opposite the gym and contains a fleet of IC6 bikes. Take a look at the DISC.

+ How do I set up my bike properly?

The coach will go over how to set up your bike and use all of the features in the first class of each block. You can also head to the Virtual Cycle section on the DISC page of the Leisureactive app to watch some handy videos.

+ Can teens go and cycle outwith the coached classes?

Yes! The cycle studio at DISC is open 7 days a week for drop-in sessions. You can either choose a virtual video to play on screen or use the IC app (link) to build your own workout. There is a timetable of virtual sessions (also via the Virtual Cycle section of the app) that run at various times throughout the week.
