FAQs

+ Who are these sessions for?

These sessions are dedicated to ASN participants between the ages of 12 to 18. Each participant can choose to attend either or both Gentle and Active Movers sessions depending on their needs and preference.

+ What's the difference between Gentle and Active sessions?

The first class is a gentle session in which participants can enjoy simple, easy to follow movements, exercising with family members and/or carers in a calm, quiet environment with plenty of space. This session provides a chilled time to enjoy movement and socialising.

The second class is for participants who enjoy a more energetic level of physical activity and environment. Our coaches will make sure to provide support to each participant and their companions based on their needs.

+ How fit do you need to be to take part?

These ASN workouts are open and accessible to all, regardless of ability or fitness level. Our coaches demonstrate each move at a variety of levels, meaning everyone can enjoy the session and feel the full benefit without pushing themselves too far.

+ How easy is it to access to Douglas Sports Centre?

Douglas Sports Centre is an accessible and disability friendly building suitable for wheelchair user and those with additional support needs. The facility is all on one level with 3 wheelchair accessible car parking spaces, 1 accessible toilet and ramp access to all parts of the building.
