Following it’s successful launch at Lochee Library the Dundee Home Front Banner Exhibition will be going around all community libraries on the following dates. In some cases only half of the complete collection will be available at a library, but the second set of banners will follow at a later date. So there will be a chance to view all twelve banners. Each banner offers an interesting and informative insight into Dundee’s Home Front activities during WW1. Various topics and themes are covered, within the exhibition, including Daily Life, Industry, Recruitment ,Defending the City, Fundraising, Culture & Entertainment, Children at War, Rent Strikes, Churchill v Scrymgeour, War Resistance and City Planning.
