Alison Young is a researcher who worked as a solicitor in the City of London for 20 years before running away to join the music hall. She has turned her legal research skills to music hall and in particular the lives of her paternal family. Alison writes a blog about those performers and other wider aspects of music hall which you can explore at musichallalice.wordpress.com. Alison also works for education charity Magic Lantern delivering Art History workshops to primary-age children hence her interest in the art and artists of music hall. Alison is the Vice Chair of the British Music Hall Society.
