Volk Gallery is proud to present the work of Marie-Chantal Hamrock. Each Volk artist is given a size limit and budget and left to their own devices. With this brief, Hamrock has produced a publication presented in the style of leaflet, similar to one you may be handed on the street. Nautical imagery is layered with schematics and technical diagrams. Accompanying each publication is a small wooden life buoy, wrapped in blue and white string. If you must, drown tenderly.
Volk Gallery is a non-institutional arts venue based in Dundee, Scotland. Consisting of a repurposed nappy vending machine, Volk Gallery is hung in the publicly accessible locale of the Keiller Centre. A rotation of products are dispensed at a set price of £3 each. Works are completed by commissioned artists and change monthly.
Opening times: Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm.
