Today, (Tuesday 1 September), Dundee Central Library is taking the first steps towards the reopening of library services in the city with the launch of a 'Reconnect & Collect' personal shopper book service. Library staff will choose up to 10 books on behalf of customers and selections will be made in response to the reading preferences customers indicate at the booking stage. Items will then be available for collection two working days later.
All stock selected will be handled safely in accordance with current government guidance. Any returned items will be quarantined for a period of 72 hours before being included in selections to ensure you can be confident infection control requirements are met.
There will also be a range of protective measures according to current Scottish Government and public health guidance to keep our customers and staff safe including the introduction of social distancing measures, sanitisation stations and use of recommended PPE.

There are two ways to contact Dundee Central Library and arrange collection
By phone – call on 01382 431539 during the opening hours advertised below. A member of library staff will take your details, discuss which kind of books you like and arrange a collection slot.
