School Library Service

Contact Details

The School Library Service supports schools and teachers by providing loans of resources, advice, resource lists, fast access to public library lending and reference resources, browsing facilities, and much more. The service is funded by the Education Department and is for the use of all local authority educational establishments.

Loans are normally for a six or ten week period but extensions are usually possible. For nursery and infant classes we have a large collection of picture books, including picture giants, picture book and puppet packs, book and audio packs, and story sacks. We also have a collection of dual language books. Teachers can call in and select their own collections or we can select and deliver to the school.
