Following Storm Babet, Leisure & Culture Dundee services will resume as normal on Monday, 23 October 2023. If there are any exceptions to this, we will update our website and social media.

Due to the disruption to travel caused by the extreme weather conditions the Scott Brothers have taken the decision to cancel the concert planned for the Caird Hall tomorrow Sunday 22 October 2023.
All customers are advised to hold onto their tickets and not to travel to the venue.
Dundee City Box Office will contact all customers at the start of the week to advise.

Due to the extreme weather conditions Leisure & Culture Dundee facilities and services will remain closed to the public on Saturday, 21 October and Sunday, 22 October 2023.

This is with the exception of Dundee Ice Arena which will be open for the Dundee Stars Ice Hockey match on Sunday evening and Caird Hall, where a piano and organ concert is due to take place on Sunday afternoon. Events at both venues are subject to change and any updates in relation to them will be made on our social media and on the venue websites.

DISC - the Dundee International Sports Complex in Mains Loan has been open as a rest centre for residents most in need due to the continuing severe weather. Our partners at Dundee City Council advise residents in need to call their customer services on 01382 434000 to get any more information or if they need assistance to get to the rest centre.

Due to the extreme weather conditions Dundee Comic Con scheduled to take place at DISC on Saturday 21 October, 2023 has been postponed. The Met Office has extended its Red Weather Warning to include Dundee. Storm Babet will bring incredibly challenging conditions, particularly in the northwest of the city. As a result, all Leisure & Culture Dundee facilities and services will be closed from 5pm on Thursday 19 October until at least noon on Friday 20 October, 2023. We will provide further updates here and on social media as they become available.

Broughty Castle Museum, Caird Park 18 and 9 hole Golf Courses and Camperdown Wildlife Centre will remain closed tomorrow (Friday 20 October, 2023). We will provide further updates in due course and thank you for your patience at this time.

Leisure & Culture Dundee services affected by Storm Babet

Due to the adverse weather conditions, some of our services have been affected. We thank you for your patience and will provide further updates as they become available.

  • Caird Park 18 Hole and 9 Hole courses will be closed on Thursday 19 October and Friday 20 October, 2023.
  • Mills Observatory will be closed on Thursday 19 October.
  • Due to the disruption to travel caused by the extreme weather conditions the ELO Experience have taken the decision to reschedule the Show planned for the Caird Hall tonight to Thursday 1 February 2024.
    Ticket agencies will be in contact to finalise arrangements.
    All customers are advised to hold onto their tickets and not to travel to the venue tonight (Thursday 19 October)
