Norwood Terrace, Newport-On-Tay

Norwood Terrace, Newport-on-Tay - Ref: WC3037

Norwood Terrace, Newport-on-Tay. Overlooking the railway station these fine Victorian houses were built mainly for the middle class of Dundee.

The houses had a wonderful view over the River Tay and their owners used the "Fifies"to commute to and from Dundee.

Alexander Wilson who took this photograph, was a supervisor in a Dundee jute mill for over 20 years. He bequeathed much of his collection and £50, to cover the costs involved, to the Free Library Committee of Dundee in 1923.
