Expand your horizons at Fintry Community Library

You may be surprised at the range of services we offer. We cater for all ages and as many interests as possible.

Our staff are friendly, helpful and adept at finding answers to your questions. So why not drop in, meet the staff and take advantage of a great free service.

We have lots of books, fiction and non-fiction, to suit all ages and tastes, a selection of DVDs and talking books for adults and children, and daily newspapers. You can reserve books for a small charge and if you want to live a little dangerously, you can ask a member of staff to choose some books for you as part of our personal shopper service.

We also offer free access to the internet, email and Microsoft office packages. If you are a beginner you can book three free taster sessions with a member of staff to get you started. We are always on hand to help.

Fintry's Reading Group meets on Tuesday mornings every four weeks from 11:30 - 12:30 pm. Although the group is small we are all keen readers and enjoy meeting for a friendly chat about the book we have just read, over a cup of tea and biscuits. We all have a say in choosing the books we read and are keen to try out new authors and titles. New members are very welcome.

Calling all Children!

The Children’s Section at Fintry Library is a popular and busy place. There are regular events for children throughout the year.

Rhyme Time at Fintry Library takes place on Wednesdays 2.15 pm to 3.00 pm. Babies, toddlers and under-fives have a great time singing, dancing and listening to stories each week. It is also a great social event for mums and carers.

Fintry Library Homework Club is on Tuesdays 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm during term-time. Children can get help with homework, use the computers and finish off doing something creative.

And during the holidays there are lots of fun things to do!
