Whether you are new to journaling, an expert diarist or just curious to see where your thoughts (or doodles) lead you, join Alex Turner for this introduction to journaling workshop. No pressure, no need to share, just nice and relaxed. Enjoy a two hour time-out just for you to try journaling and see where it takes you.

We'll do some mindful reflection exercises to access your inner landscape for you to explore on the page.

We'll cover journaling techniques, tips and prompts, plus whatever else comes up on the day.

Whether you're new to journaling or want to try some new styles, this is an easy introduction to the practice of journaling. Styles may include: journal prompts, daily journaling (Morning Pages), Bullet Journaling, Gratitude Journaling, nature journaling, and big picture journaling (for goal setting).

Who is this for?: This workshop is for anyone curious about journaling, whether you have a journaling practice or not. It'll be a safe and friendly space to experiment with journaling techniques for self-discovery, reflection and wellbeing.

You'll Need: A journal, notebook or something to write on.

A word from Alex: "I kept a diary when I was little, but I cringe just thinking back on it. But as an adult I tried daily journaling and I absolutely fell in love with it. I've used the practice of journaling to navigate some major life changes, and I've experimented with lots of different types of journaling. I love how flexible and adaptable it is and how it can be completely tailored to your needs and goals. This is something I'm really looking forward to sharing in a relaxed and informal workshop setting!"

A donation of £5 per ticket is suggested to cover costs. Tickets for Ninewells Community Garden volunteers are free.
