After MasterChef the Professionals success in 2014, Jamie established his restaurant, The Newport, in 2016 and was quickly awarded two AA rosettes and a place in The Michelin Guide.

His plans in 2020 to diversify and expand with the opening of The Newport Bakery were almost knocked off course by the pandemic, but he persevered to great acclaim and has since opened a further two outlets in Dundee and St Andrews.

The cooking style in his restaurant and bakery remain true to his zero waste ethos and he creates his menus around the best available seasonal produce, working with suppliers he knows and trusts. Using classic recipes and modern techniques, Jamie's menu showcases the bountiful larder from the surrounding areas.
