Signed Songs R Us are proud to host the 3rd Annual National Signing Choir Competition.

The competition sees choirs who perform and translating music in to sign language and coming together to compete for the title of champion; while promoting D/deaf awareness, sign language and Deaf culture.

The National Signing Choir Competition has been held in past years in Gillingham and Nottingham and now for the 1st time, crosses the boarder for a truly spectacular Scottish event.

This is an accessible event for deaf British sign language users, with BSL interpreters presenting the full event.

Signing Choirs - What exactly are they?

A number of people have been asking; they are choirs that perform like any other choir but rather than sing with their voices, they sing with their hands in British Sign Language, while telling a visual story behind the song they are "Singing".

Singers express the song through the pitch, tone and emotion of their voices, Signing Song performers do the same with their hands, body and facial expressions, it is a visual spectacular for the senses.
