Ground floor

• External automatic access doors are located at each end of the Atrium to allow access from Gallagher Retail Park and Dundee City Centre.
• Reception is designed with a low level section to allow wheelchair users better admittance to Reception staff.
• Induction Loops are available, including activity classes.
• Access route to the swimming pool is level with good corridor width and the double doors have a clear opening capable of allowing the passage of a wheelchair without having to use the second leaf.
• The Changing Village is unisex and has 4 large changing cubicles, a Disabled Toilet and an Accessible Changing Room fitted with disabled toilet, shower, ceiling hoist, movable bench and privacy screen for carers.
• The shower area includes one large access shower, is level with plenty of width and sensor controlled shower.
• The Training Pool has a submersible platform lift and two built in step entry points for access to the pool. We provide 2 shower chairs for public use and permanent seating is available as a rest area.
• The Activity Pool also has a submersible platform lift.
• Leisure Pool entry is level followed by a gently angled slope, either on foot or by chair.
• The Toddler Pool has broad stairs and handrails to allow a gradual access.

First floor

• Access route to the Café is either the stairs or the lift in the Atrium.
• Spectator/viewing areas are on the first floor. All balustrades are stainless steel rails with clear toughened glass to allow viewing for everyone.
• Fitness Studio and Activity Room are located on the first floor and can be accessed from the lift in the main building, close to the Reception.

Swimming Pools

Leisure Pool

The Olympia is now home to one of Scotland’s newest leisure pools and is the number one destination for people looking to make a splash when visiting Dundee. The leisure pool includes a rapid river, wave pool and seated bubble beds. Younger children and families can look forward to splashing around in the toddler’s pool with smaller slides and fun interactive features.

Thrill seekers can try the 4 innovative flumes that exit into aqua catches, with the bravest daring to try the Cannonball with its 3.8m drop into the dive pool. The flumes have various features including LED light effects and clear sections. As the only swimming pool in Scotland to have these exciting features, we recommend that you visit us in Dundee to try them all out.

50m Swimming Pool

Our 50m swimming pool has 6 lanes with a normal depth of 1.8m but is highly adaptable and can readily transform into 3 separate pool areas – dive pool, activity pool and 25m training pool – by using its moveable floor and walls.

Public Lane Swimming

Lane swimming will be available in our 25m training pool for those looking for either a more relaxed recreational swim or for those looking for a more rigorous training workout.

Diving Pool

The moveable floor in the main 50m swimming pool facilitates different pool depths and creates the diving pool. The diving boards will be open at programmed times and for diving classes. Please note, the 3m and 5m diving boards are not available when the cannonball flume is in operation, the timings of which are subject to change.

Changing Facilities

There is a Family friendly changing village in Olympia with lockers operating with a returnable £1.00 coin. If you don’t want to take a wet costume home with you, why not try our mini spinners which dry your costume in no time. Mini Spinners are located on the end aisles next to the hair dryers.
