The Friends of Broughty Ferry Library present an evening with John Quinn, a former teacher and now tour guide at Scotland’s Jute Museum Verdant Works and a member of the Weavers’ craft of Dundee.
John will be discussing the history of the Verdant Works and Dundee's Jute Industry.
John also writes and performs poetry he has performed Slam Poetry on the International Stanza Festival at St. Andrews – although he did not make it through to the finals. His poems are often written in or about pubs and have been published in Poetry Scotland, Northwords Now, Southlight and South Bank magazines.
