Fresh from their first and very successful residency at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, the SNJO are now preparing for their next concerts - a Jazz / Classical collaboration: Peter and the Wolf and The Carnival of the Animals - two of the best loved classical pieces for jazz orchestra that have been commissioned and newly arranged by Scotland's Tommy Smith and MakotoOzone from Japan respectively.

With Makoto Ozone, one of Japan's top classical and jazz pianists as our special guest, we are also delighted to welcome Scots actor Tam Dean Burn to narrate the story of Peter and the Wolf which has been specially adapted into Scots by Liz Lochhead

These pieces of music as well as appealing to adults and jazz fans alike are a wonderful way to introduce young people to jazz and the orchestra encourage all ages to attend with a Free Ticket policy for ALL schoolchildren whilst anyone aged 16 - 25yrs inclusive, can buy tickets for only £5 with a SNJO youth card - available via www.dundeebox.co.uk/
