Brian’s Story

Throat cancer patient Brian Weir joined Move More Dundee classes to try and become more active. He now feels fitter and happier and helped to accelerate his recovery.

Arthur’s Story

After Arthur was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2016, he was referred to Move More Dundee and joined a circuit class at the Olympia leisure centre.

“It's like a drug. If you're not coming here, you miss it…”

Iain’s Story

Iain was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016 and was referred to the Move More programme after listening to the Move More team at an NHS 'Living well after cancer' event

Ron’s Story

Ron was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2015. After attending a course at the Maggie's Centre he was referred to Move More Dundee.

Kathleen’s Story

Since being diagnosed with cancer, Kathleen joined Move More Dundee. As well as taking part in classes, she has used Paths for All's online Pedometer Platform for motivation and support to get more active.

Steven's story

Steven Frearson was referred into the Move More programme after attending a support group in the Maggie's Centre. He enjoys the programme because you are encouraged to go at your own pace and you have others who have been through similar experiences as yourself.

Billy's Story

Billy Kirk was first diagnosed with Prostate cancer 10 years ago. He joined Move More after being referred in by his clinical nurse specialist. He feels that the Move More Dundee programme will help you get stronger to help cope with your cancer.

Richard's Story

Richard Dawson was referred into the Move More Dundee programme after having his prostate removed, as well as the top of his colon, and his gallbladder. He puts his fast recovery down to attending the Move More programme.
