DVD Centre

The DVD Section, situated in the main foyer of Central Library, provides a DVD lending service to anyone aged 18 or over.

A wide selection of features, new releases and box sets is available.

Our World Cinema section holds titles in many languages including French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Polish and a wide selection of Bollywood titles.  Many of these are award winning and highly commended films.

Our Non fiction DVDs cover a range of interests and subjects from hobbies to language learning.

It is possible to request a DVD by phone or in person and have it available for pick up on a particular day.  Suggestions for additions to stock are always considered.

All adult library members are automatically registered to borrow up to 4 DVDs.

Hire charges are £1.50 per night for new release titles.  Boxed sets are £2.00 for a weeks rental. Non fiction titles are £1.50 for three weeks rental. World cinema and back catalogue titles are £1 overnight.

All children's back catalogue titles are free for one weeks rental.

Every Thursday and Friday from 4.30 to 7.30 pm you can hire 1 DVD and get another free of charge (please note the cheapest title is free).
