Dundee East Community Sports Club is currently one of the most developed Community Sports Clubs in Dundee. The Hub is made up of six local football clubs and provides a pathway from ages 5 up to Adult. The Hub itself is based in the East side of Dundee and is situated around Whitton Park, Douglas Sports Centre, Claypotts Park and Dawson Park grass pitches.

Within the clubs involved there are over 600 members and upwards of 100 qualified coaches and volunteers. The Community Club has a development plan in place and is working hard to implement the plan within the 5 year set timescale. The first part of the development plan was the creation of a 3g floodlit training facility adjacent to Whitton Park. This was completed in June 2012. The next stage is to take forward proposals to develop an 11 a side floodlit playing pitch which will be fully utilised by the local community. The plans will also include significant improvements to the changing facilities at Whitton Park with a new state of the art facility to be built which will include changing rooms, a fitness suite and also meeting and socialising facilities.

Dundee East Community Sports Club has benefited from having a very strong committee in place. They have been successful in attracting committee members from all of the clubs within the community club structure. They are a very ambitious committee and they are working hard to ensure all the proposed developments come to fruition. The Club has established a branding and marketing profile which all teams affiliated are displaying on their team colours and the club have also delivered fun day events and football holiday camps.
