Festival of Sport ‘Come and Try Day’ relocating this Saturday

Due to predicted rain forecast for this weekend Leisure & Culture Dundee’s Festival of Sport ‘Come and Try Day will be relocated indoor to Dundee International Sports Complex (DISC) from Slessor Gardens where it was originally planned to take place. The sports hall and gymnasium will be transformed into a multi-sports arena between 10am and 3pm on Saturday June 10. The event will showcase the wide range of activities and sports the organisation runs across the City. The fun filled day is free to anyone wishing to attend and offers activities for everyone including a Ninja assault course, golf, hockey, archery taster sessions and much more.

Visitors will be able to unleash their hidden warrior with the chance to be crowned Dundee’s Ninja Champion on a specially adapted Ninja Assault Course. Based on the Ninja values of strength, balance, upper body power and determination, participants can attempt the course in a test of stamina, against the clock.

There will be plenty of staff on hand to help you with the activities, and provide information on where you can take part on a regular basis. The ‘Come and Try Day’ kicks off a Festival of Sport this summer in the city where there are multiple special deals and opportunities to get involved in leisure and sport activities.
