Join us at Blu Restaurant for the latest art exhibition featuring the beautiful work of Perthshire artist Brendan Collins. Brendan, who is originally from Killaloe, County Clare, Ireland moved to Scotland in 1980 and for many years carved a career as a Diamond-Point Glass engraver from his home in Blairgowrie Perthshire. Then in 2004 Brendans creative talents focused on visual art, initially watercolour then moving to Oil paint as his preferred medium. Graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone in 2013 with a BA Hons Fine Art Degree, Brendan went on to develop his loose impressionistic style and draws inspiration from a number of 19th century realist painters, in particular The Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood and J W Waterhouse, as well as a number of contemporary artists around the world. The current exhibition brings together a collection of work not previously shown in public, and so offers a unique opportunity to see Brendans work and to celebrate his creative talents.
