The awards support projects that look at creative development through collaborations, working with new partners, or new producers.

Past winners have included: The Hazey Janes, Charlotte Brimner, SHEE, The Mirror Trap, Fat Goth, Scary People, AMWWF, Michael Marra, Loadsaweeminsingin. Cantiones Sacrae and many more.

Dougie Black Manager for last year’s winners, Ruvellas said

"Ruvellas were delighted with the support form Dundee Musicians Award as it made it possible for us to finance the music video for our single track "Sick & Tired". Dundee has a vast array of creative outputs for the music industry and we decided to use the talents of local company Magicbox, who produced a fantastic music video. We would recommend any band or musician to apply for the Dundee Musicians Award in the future and also use the many creative sources Dundee has to offer."

Closing date for applications is Friday 29 July 2019
